The 2021 vintage was shaped by ideal growing conditions in the Barossa Valley. The combination of warm, dry weather and the region's low-fertility clay loam soils provided the perfect environment for the grapes to ripen fully and evenly. The fruit that was hand-picked for this wine was allowed to develop the richness and depth that Barossa Shiraz is known for, with a balance of power and finesse that is characteristic of the region. The long, sun-filled days and cool nights helped preserve the natural acidity, creating a wine with structure and complexity.

Archery Road, named after the local archery club, is situated at the southern central area of the Barossa Valley. The surrounding landscape is bound by ridges to the east and the west and has great diversity of soils, providing a range of flavour profiles in the grapes grown in the region.

The Archery Road Longbow Shiraz 2021 has garnered significant recognition from wine critics. It was awarded 95 points by Wine Pilot and Wine Showcase, who praised its depth of flavour and complexity. Wine Orbit also awarded it 96 points, highlighting its rich, ripe fruit profile and smooth tannins. In addition, the wine won a prestigious Gold Medal at Wine Showcase, further cementing its place as one of the Barossa Valley’s finest Shiraz offerings. 

This Shiraz is the perfect companion to bold, hearty dishes. Pair it with a juicy steak, slow-cooked beef brisket, or a roast lamb leg infused with rosemary.
