The combination of warm, dry weather and the region's low-fertility clay loam soils provided the perfect environment for the grapes to ripen fully and evenly. The fruit that was hand-picked for this wine was allowed to develop the richness and depth that Barossa Shiraz is known for, with a balance of power and finesse that is characteristic of the region. The long, sun-filled days and cool nights helped preserve the natural acidity, creating a wine with structure and complexity.
The Archery Road Longbow Shiraz 2021 has garnered significant recognition from wine critics. It was awarded 95 points by Wine Pilot and Wine Showcase, who praised its depth of flavour and complexity. Wine Orbit also awarded it 96 points, highlighting its rich, ripe fruit profile and smooth tannins. In addition, the wine won a prestigious Gold Medal at Wine Showcase, further cementing its place as one of the Barossa Valley’s finest Shiraz offerings.
